Voice Activity Tracking Guide
What it is and why it helps
Onyu automatically detects the moment a member joins or leaves a voice channel and records the time spent. Who was together, when, and in which channel is tracked without any manual effort from server admins.
The collected data is turned into daily, weekly, and monthly statistics you can review on the dashboard as trend charts and user rankings. Seeing which hours are busiest and which members participate consistently makes it easier to plan how to run your community.
Voice and text conversation content is never collected. Only activity metadata such as connection time, channel movement, and mic on/off time is recorded.
How to get started
Voice activity tracking starts automatically as soon as the bot is added to your server — no extra setup needed. To view the statistics on the dashboard, follow these steps.
- Log in with your Discord account to access the dashboard.
- Select a server you manage to see the server-wide voice statistics view.
- Click a member in the user ranking table to see their detailed activity (daily chart, mic usage ratio, join/leave history).
Tips and common questions
Activity is not recorded while the bot was temporarily offline, and it is not retroactively recovered once the bot is back online.
If there are channels you want to exclude from statistics, such as a music-bot-only channel, you can register them as excluded channels on the settings page.
